This role involves working directly with students to enhance their functional abilities, supporting their educational progress, and promoting independence through tailored therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students developmental and functional abilities to create individualized therapy plans.
- Implement therapeutic strategies to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure cohesive care plans that align with educational goals.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as needed.
- Maintain compliance with school policies and relevant healthcare regulations.
- Travel to various school sites within the Bronx area as required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant certification.
